I saw this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the side bar and thought, “Oh, that looks interesting. I wonder who wrote it.” It turns out I did. Two years ago. I had completely forgotten about it.

Funny, I saw the article and thought “Ah, Kinja is doing one of its random article barfs again - that looks like a ttyymmnn post” - despite the fact I didn’t remember commenting on it, either.

Oh Kinja. Sometimes you’re good. The rest of the time, you suck.

Lately I’ve noticed most of the articles on the sidebar are all old.

None of my articles ever get so popular... but I am weirded out when Kinja suggests something from 2012.

I think what happens is that somebody out there in the Internet discovers something, then shares it out, then it gets shared again, etc. Since the clicks all get counted by Kinja, they start to appear as popular posts, no matter how old they are. The P-38 article is up to 3k views, which is certainly far more than it initially received. Unless it had been shared to the FP, but I don’t think so. Honestly, I really don’t remember at all.

It’s always fun when you get hits on a two-year-old comment, let alone an entire post.

It’s fun and strange, because I usually don’t remember what I said. In the case of this post, I can see how my writing style has changed over the last two years. Hopefully, it’s gotten better!

I vaguely remember reading that back then.

Good, because I don’t remember writing it! (Well, I do, but I had forgotten about it.) I actually touched it up a bit, since my writing style has changed a lot in the last two years.

Same thing happened to me about an hour ago.

http://lanesplitter.jalopnik.com/bruh-http-oppo…

I saw the post, and thought I had seen it. I remember knowing details about it. I remember making a comment or typing details about the location/riders.

Then I realized I posted it here, and now it’s on the sidebar..

I think Kinja is having another nervous breakdown.

While having a nervous breakdown, I just did a GIS for that motorcycle rider to see if there were any photos of his motorcycle, or any details from that day, and these were the results.

Nice work Kinja. These are all lede images from my last 4 posts.

Numerous times, I have gone looking for a picture of an airplane for my history posts, only to find links to ones I’ve already used high up in the GIS results. Good work indeed.

Holy shit Kinja, what are you up to?

Kinja'd!!!

I just posted this 30 minutes ago, and it’s now the 6th result in a Google search. I even used a browser I never visit Kinja with.

Could there be some other thing at work here? Even if you used a different browser, is it going through the same network? Does Google recognize you somehow?

What do you get for that N300HR?

I first searched in Safari, since that’s what was open. But the link showed up as having been clicked already. So I tried Chrome, which I very rarely ever use. My mileage did not vary. Hell, it could be the same screen shot, except that I got my results in .17 seconds, while it took you .33 seconds. Are you using dial up?
